Somewhere in between…snow

The sunny days and brisk nights reminded me of how I do not miss the valley fog. Being raised in valley fog, I appreciate the sunshine of the foothills. The elevation here is about 2112 feet so that’s above the fog and below the snow, most of the time. February is typically the coldest month and most chances of snow here but it doesn’t last long, just long enough to get some good pictures. Being on a County maintained road means we get plowed by the County. The campground road is hard packed gravel with good drainage. Our location makes access to the snow just up the highway about an hour depending on the snow level. Columbia State Park is open year round and still free. Shopping there and stepping back in time to the saloons is a fun winter activity. Then retreating back to a campfire to warm the chilly air before sleeping in an RV with a heater is my kind of thing. The campground is gravel so no muddy mess and dirt clogs in the RV. So if you want a fog getaway, check us out.

Happy RV camping!
